With her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in hand, professional art dealer/gallerist Christine Klassen has a goal to make art accessible to Calgarians. Christine Klassen Gallery moved into its new location just off Macleod Trail in 2014. One new addition to the gallery shows off their fun side: “We started hosting bocce games in January 2015,” Christine says. “Our goal was to host an art event during the gloomy winter months that was fun and accessible. We partnered with Infuse Catering who provides the cocktails and snacks for our pop-up Bocce Nights.”
Christine's focus on offering unique gallery experiences is balanced with her dedication to providing professional services. “In July of 2014 we started framing in-house,” she says. “And this is open to everyone, not just people who collect art from our gallery.”
