Port Perry Dance Academy began as a small school in 2000, but has now grown into the largest dance school in the Scucog area, both in terms of square footage and number of dancers. “We were a tiny room on Water Street,” says David Ahmad, one of the owners. “My wife Lynn, who’s a trained dancer and instructor, has always wanted to have her own studio." When a friend of theirs knew of an available dance studio in Port Perry, the two decided to take the leap.
David and Lynn settled comfortably into the Port Perry location. They combined both their skills in dance to turn Port Perry Dance Academy into a place where all types of students can study their chosen dance forms.
