The restaurant is in a historic house in Streetsville. Nice ambiance. There were a few special events/weddings that evening and the restaurant was busy. The wine was overpriced even considering the expected mark-up. We told our server that we were sharing the escargot appetizer. It arrived with one fork. The halibut dish looked unappealing and tasted bland. It looked like the halibut and potatoes were boiled. We later learned they were poached. The food sat in a bowl of oil. The zucchini was shredded and sat in the oil as well. The only tasty part was the black olives. The pork dish was better served with sweet and roast potatoes and asparagus spears. It took a while for our bill to arrive after we asked for it. When the reservation was made, it was made clear that we were celebrating a birthday. They said they'd bring a piece of cake to the table. It never arrived. We were very disappointed with the food and service. We're sorry to say that we won't be back.
