Therese Rajotte, the founder of Elegant Tributes, says that the location of her business is uniquely designed to help people relax. “It feels like a spa,” she says. “We wanted people to be able to walk into a funeral home and feel like you could breathe. It's a beautiful space.”
Before she got involved in the funeral business in the mid-1990s, Therese was an event and wedding planner. “I made a real shift,” she says. “I saw a real need from people wanting to do things differently in the funeral industry – to have it personalized so that it truly reflects the way a life was lived.”
While she was juggling weddings and other events at the time, Therese finally decided that she wanted to focus on funerals. To make that change possible, she connected with business partners who helped her open a full-service funeral home with a dedicated, client-focused approach.
