“I love my faith. I love being able to promote the faith or just bring God to people in their everyday world,” says Marie Showalter, owner of the south Calgary location of Lumen Christi Books & Gifts Ltd Faith has propelled this business to being a leader in the city for church gifts, music and church supplies.

The Fairmount Drive location opened in 2009 when the family-owned Lumen Christi Books & Gifts Ltd decided to expand south in Calgary. In searching for a location, Marie took a wrong turn and went down this road where she discovered a stained glass shop that was closing out. As if by divine intervention, they had found the perfect spot. “We believe in the faith and we like to make it available to people,” says Marie. “We carry books and giftware, and when we moved here we got in to wine and other church supplies.”
