“When we finished at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Scott and I wanted to start a transparent business focused on doing the right thing,” says Barry, co-owner of 505-Junk. They saw a gap in the way the junk removal industry worked, and jumped on it.

“Unlike most of our competition, we charge by the total weight of what we take away, instead of the space it takes up,” he explains, “which is how we pay to get rid of it, so it’s very fair, very transparent.” Charging by weight sets 505-Junk apart from the competition, because it lets customers see exactly where their money is going and eliminates confusion over load sizes or the number of trips required.

“At the end of the day, we’ve created this service for the client, not for any other reason,” says Barry, “So we’re going be fair, open, and do our best to assist them.”
