As the title says, best sushi in town, hands down. The special rolls are worth the price, and almost everything on the menu is delicious. You'll have to plan out several trips to try everything on the menu.
The service is average, depending on how busy it is. The place is small and tables are so cramped next to each other that you can breathe on the people sitting next to you. That said, it makes flagging down a waitress really easy, because you're gonna have to do so since using your power of suggestion through staring doesn't work.
I've been going here for years, and am not a huge fan of the renovation, I liked being able to leave a note on the wall, or reading other people's sushi haikus. The blue track lighting is a little odd, and I swear they play the same music loop every night, but then again, that's what I get for going here so often.
This place is so good, they opened a location right on Denman and Davie, and have a sister company called Sake Maki on the Drive.
If you love Sushi, you need to try this place!
