I love this place (the Wellington location is my favorite, though York is good, too). The food is excellent every time - you know exactly what you are getting. The service is excellent as well. I'll admit, I'm probably there (wellington) more than I should be, but when I walk in they greet me by name, they smile, and are very friendly. I don't find the prices very expensive for what you get, but even if they were, it is worth paying a little extra for quality - especially in this day and age where it is so hard to come by. I would recommend this place to anyone, and will definately continue to go back.

Take out service is slow, but so is the sit down at times. But Pad Thai is worth the return trip.

showed up for dinner. didnt even make it to the little stand we're supposed to line up in front of and we were greeted. the restaurant was about 1/2-3/4 full. we ordered drinks and got them in a couple minutes, like every restuaraunt. ordered our food and after about 10-15 minutes, we got it, and it was delicious. This is a restaurant i will definately be going back to. Ben Thanh rocks my world.

Service was horrible. I asked for a glass of sauvignon blanc and the server had no clue what that was and came back three times to ask me if I still wanted the wine and finally I just said "forget it", her response, "awesome". The food was awful partially the servers fault. I asked for extra shrimp instead of squid and she came to tell me the cost which was fine with me but then continued to do the math in her head and tell me the total....ok. Then when I went to pay at the counter the manager was there and I asked her if they served sauvingon blanc and she said yes. I told her that the server had no clue and she says she so sorry and it's only the servers second day. Nice....you could tell the girl has absolutely no experience serving at all and you put her on the floor by herself. It was the worst dinning experience of my life and I will never ever go back. I felt pretty awful for the server afterwards because I watched her screw up other tables and it really wasn't the girls fault. Oh and I almost forgot, my food had a burnt taste. I think this has something to do cooking with soy and clearly they don't know how.

I've only been to the York location. Service is usually decent, though there's the occasional bad run-in (asking twice but never getting a glass of water, and my friend was rushed through his Interac transaction). They usually greet you pretty quickly even if the restaurant is packed, and will do their best to accommodate you (e.g. moving tables around). Food is pretty good. Love the non-fried beef rolls. I usually get the Pho, but I find that their servings are a bit smaller than other places around the same price. Other things like pad thai and fried noodles are really quite plentiful though. I also find that the MSG levels might are a bit higher. Drinks (usually a shake or bubble tea)
