I can't say enough nice about this place. Everything, including the coffee is great. When my friend and I visit we order 2 crepes (main course & dessert) so we get the best of both worlds.
This was my fourth time at this place, the first time with a larger group (it's usually just myself and a colleague). I'm from Toronto and I often come to the Ottawa Valley for business, which is difficult in the culinary sense! Being a true lover of food (especially French food), it's hard to find the food quality and innovation that I'm used to in Toronto! The Nook has been great everytime. Perfect, perfect crepes; they have a wide variety and some of their fillings are truly unique. The atmosphere is also just lovely...there's not even a place in Toronto (that I know of) that has the charm of this little place. It looks like the owners have really paid attention to every detail, including the quality of service. I can honestly say that this are the best crepes I've ever had, and I travel all over Quebec city and have travelled thru France three times, as well. I know crepes! I would definitely reccommend this place. It is small, so huge groups probably wouldn't work out, but it's very quaint, intimate, and the way a little authentic creperie should be.
It looks like this place is finally getting some recognition! My wife and I go here a couple times a month now and we just love it. The crepes are truly delicious everytime, they have great features, decent wine list, and they make a perfect cappuccino. The service has always been excellent and warm. My wife and I highly reccommend this place for lunch or dinner. Yum!
Finally a place in Pembroke where you can get a true gourmet meal at a reasonable price. The food and service are great, the decor is minimalist with lots of paintings hung. Quite small and cosy. You have to like crepes of course but their is a large list to choose from. They also do truffles,
